VIPS vantage view of Widening Works

The spotlight was on Section 4 widening little more than three months after work had started to widen the first section between Junctions 27 (Theydon) and Junction 28 (Brentwood).

A host of VIPs gathered to listen to Nirmal Kotecha Highways Agency Major Projects Director praise the progress of work. Further speeches from Richard Derwent, from the Department of Transport, Connect Plus Chief Executive Tim Jones, David Blackburn Managing Director of Skanska Balfour Beatty Construction Joint Venture, and Peter Adams, Divisional Director for the Highways Agency in the South East, all endorse the efforts of the widening team. VIPs were then escorted to Murthering overbridge, directly above the M25 works to view the widening works.
