Operations & Maintenance
Connect Plus Services (CPS) has a 30-year contract with Connect Plus on behalf of the Highways Agency to maintain and operate the M25 and all adjoining trunk and slip roads, which commenced in 2009.
The M25 is one of the busiest sections of road in the UK and is undoubtedly one of the most significant. Through the collective strength of our team, we accept and deliver the challenges we face together.
Our experience in resolving challenging network issues means we’re well-placed to be custodians of the UK’s busiest road network
After an intense fire caused extensive damage to the Deansbrook Viaduct and resulted in the closure of the M1 for three junctions, we repaired and re-opened the road five days ahead of schedule.
After inspections revealed cracks in the Boston Manor Viaduct, we worked around the clock to effect the repairs, enabling the road to be reopened in time for the M4 Olympic Family Games Lane to be opened.
We offered a seamless journey on our network for competitors, audience and dignitaries from around the world during the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics through comprehensive planning and an enhanced service.
Connect Plus Services carries out routine maintenance, as well as managing the whole life requirement of the asset. We also manage the operation of the network and identify ways of reducing delays and improving journey time reliability.
Our unique Network Operations Centre (NOC) delivers real-time coordinated control of on-road resources, monitoring and capturing all aspects of network performance.
We benefit from our partners’ expertise to deliver solutions from design to construction.
Connect Plus Services brings together the collective strength and expertise of its parent companies; Balfour Beatty, Atkins and Egis Road Operation UK.
The joint venture incorporates construction, design, maintenance and operations capabilities and has a proven track record in delivering similar projects in both the UK and internationally.
