The M25 is the busiest section of motorway in Europe and requires careful and efficient planning of work to deliver over £100m of annual investment in the highway infrastructure each year, in addition to planned and reactive maintenance activity.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the connect plus services performance team that manages and improves one of the busiest motorways in Europe – the M25

We are looking for a business improvement analyst to work alongside the team delivering and improving management and lean process across the network to benefit customers and clients

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Collate KPI data and produce a suite of performance reports in line with reporting deadlines
  • Analyse performance data to identify ‘Trigger Events’ and organise improvement workshops to raise performance
  • Assist in the production of business cases for Lean process improvement projects
  • Deliver lean projects in line with CPS demand and support other improvement projects as required, utilising technical support from Performance manager where required
  • Report on (Lean) Project / Champion progress to the management and leadership team as required
  • Manage the Change Register to ensure prioritisation of ideas and active attendance at the change board
  • Track improvement projects to encourage completion before collating benefits for reporting
  • In liaison with the Health and Safety team, process improvement suggestions from the internal suggestion board and manage the feedback route to originators and support improvements where required
  • Biweekly production of Performance and Quality team communications
  • Role model continuous improvement within the CPS team
  • Deliver basic ‘lean awareness’ training to colleagues as appropriate
  • Annual preparation for National Highways Lean Maturity Assessment documentation

  • Flexibility to work across all sites as required
  • Commitment to great customer service standards
  • Good Excel knowledge
