As a Maintenance Operative, no two days are the same. You will be out on the network carrying out a wide range of essential activities, from repairs and inspections to maintaining the landscape that surrounds the motorway. Working arrangements
- A mix of day and night shifts, Monday to Friday, giving variety in your week
- Day shifts run from 07:00 to 16:00, with night shifts from 20:30 to 05:30
- The chance to work across the M25 network and different depots
- Opportunities to travel for training, meetings and works
- The option to support out of hours responses, including winter maintenance
This structured shift pattern makes it easier to plan ahead and enjoy a good work life balance.
What you’ll be doing
All you need to get started is a driving licence and a willingness to learn.
We will support you with the training and qualifications you need to succeed, including areas such as traffic management, highways maintenance and essential site safety skills. This will help you build confidence and progress your career from day one.
