What You’ll Be Doing
As a Highways Electrical Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced electrical teams, gaining hands-on experience installing, maintaining, inspecting, and testing electrical equipment used on roads and motorways, including:
- Street lighting
- Traffic signals
- Associated electrical systems
You will be based at our depot on the M25 network at South Mimms.
You will be enrolled on the Highways Electrical Apprenticeship, attending training on a block-release basis in Norwich. Accommodation, travel arrangements, and associated costs will be fully supported by the business.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for individuals who are eager to learn and gain hands-on experience. No formal qualifications are required for this Level 2 Apprenticeship, which combines practical, on-the-job training with structured learning to help you develop key skills and knowledge.
This role involves regular site visits and travel between locations. Before joining Balfour Beatty, you must hold a full UK driving licence.
