About the Role

We are looking for a proactive individual to help deliver an efficient service across the M25 Network. You’ll take on a wide range of responsibilities, from hazard clearance and network maintenance to supporting operational excellence. Every task you undertake will contribute to keeping one of the country’s busiest motorways safe and reliable.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Undertake activities, as instructed, to ensure your area of responsibility is maintained. This will include, but is not limited to:
- Cyclical maintenance
- Graffiti removal
- Carriageway repairs
- Soft estate maintenance (e.g., grassland maintenance)
- Litter picking
- Sign maintenance
- Cleansing
- Safety fence repairs
- Boundary fence repairs
- Any other duties allocated by Line Managers
- Implement traffic management in line with CPS policies, method statements, risk assessments, and industry standards.
- Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.
- Undertake routine vehicle checks and maintain accurate, up-to-date driving records in accordance with CPS procedures and legislation.
- Take due care of CPS property, including but not limited to tablets, vehicles, and radios.
- Raise awareness of issues that may affect the safe operation of the network and report these as observed.
- Check equipment and tools for relevant tasks and report any faults or defects.
- Participate in the Winter Service rota as required.
- Attend training courses as required and maintain qualifications/competencies.
- Live the CPS Values.

- Support the delivery of CPSUK’s sustainability activities.
Who We’re Looking For
Qualifications (Essential)
- UK Driving Licence
- CSCS Operative Card
Experience
- Working on a live motorway or All-Purpose Trunk Road (APTR) network
- Experience of working in a similar traffic, transport, or highways role
Essential Criteria
- Successfully pass the security check as part of the recruitment process
- Successfully pass the annual driving licence check

Location:
This is a hybrid role designed to fully maximize team collaboration on the project, we offer flexible working where you will typically be working from your base CPS office, Leatherhead, Dartford or South Mimms up to three days per week and two days from home.
