About the Role

This role supports the Project Delivery team by scheduling, coordinating, and booking road space for the delivery of Project Delivery works. The post holder will work closely with various members of the CPS business to understand the programme of works and identify opportunities for sharing road space and traffic management. Where coordination is not possible, they will make road space bookings as required, ensuring compliance with CPS Road Space Booking procedures.

This role can be based at Dartford, Leatherhead, or South Mimms depot.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work closely with the Inspections Lead, Asset team counterparts, and Inspectors to understand the annual programme of Structures and Linear Inspections.
  • Liaise with Inspectors to seek opportunities to group works geographically to enable sharing of road space and traffic management costs.
  • Submit road space bookings using the CPS NOMS system where sharing of road space is not possible.
  • Assess inspection requirements and arrange the booking of specialist plant (e.g., MEWPs) to undertake inspections.
  • Participate in road space coordination meetings, ensuring bookings are made in sufficient time and that outstanding information is provided promptly.
  • Liaise with TfL and local authorities as necessary to obtain permissions for road closures and diversions.
  • Ensure that all works have the required traffic management resources allocated.

 

Who We’re Looking For

  • HNC/HND or equivalent qualification (desirable).
  • Well organised with the ability to plan own workload efficiently.
  • Strong IT skills, including confidence to learn and use new systems.
  • Experience of working in a project environment (desirable).
  • Ability to consider customer impact when planning work.
  • Experience of planning structures inspections.
