What You’ll Be Doing
As Project Controls Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping how performance and progress are measured, shared, and improved across one of the UK’s most high-profile infrastructure projects. You’ll lead with purpose, bringing clarity to data and empowering teams to make informed, timely decisions.
You’ll be:

Designing and continuously improving reporting tools that track delivery performance and contractual compliance.

Producing high-quality reports at project, programme, and portfolio levels, ensuring data is accurate, timely, and meaningful.

Supporting contractual compliance through insightful reporting on key performance metrics, helping to drive accountability and reduce risk.

Championing automation to streamline reporting processes, minimise errors, and improve efficiency.

Building strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and use feedback to make continuous improvements.

Ensuring that follow-up actions from reports are clearly tracked, assigned, and updated.

Leading and developing a small team of Performance Analysts—setting clear goals, encouraging growth, and fostering a culture of excellence.

Introducing and embedding Change Control processes within the PMO, including managing a central Project Change Register.

Developing and launching a best-practice Project Risk Management framework across the programme.
Who We’re Looking For – Key Requirements
We’re looking for a motivated and collaborative professional who’s ready to make an impact and grow with us. Ideally, you’ll bring:

A degree in a technical or engineering discipline

Experience working across multi-stakeholder environments

Strong data handling skills, with the ability to identify key insights and trends

Proficiency in analysis and reporting tools

Leadership experience in complex, infrastructure-focused organisations
-
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
-
Experience in driving and managing change effectively
-
Knowledge of the highways infrastructure sector and its key stakeholders (preferred)

Location:
This is a hybrid role designed to fully maximize team collaboration on the project, we offer flexible working where you will typically be working from your base CPS office, Leatherhead, Dartford or South Mimms up to three days per week and two days from home.
