About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the DBFO Network. You’ll carry out routine inspections and maintenance on structures such as bridges, gantries, and smaller assets, combining hands-on work with accurate record-keeping to ensure the network operates safely and efficiently.

Alongside the practical aspects of the role, you’ll use your IT skills to update systems, raise briefings, plan and allocate team tasks, and provide feedback to your line manager. You’ll also gain experience in operating small plant and equipment as part of the works.

With over 15 years remaining on this major project, this role offers not only variety and professional growth, but also long-term stability. What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll play an important part in keeping our network safe and well maintained. Every day will bring variety, responsibility, and the chance to develop new skills while working as part of a supportive team.

You will:

  • Deliver work in line with agreed schedules, ensuring quality and consistency.

  • Use your IT skills to support record-keeping and task management.

  • Bring commitment, teamwork, and a positive approach to everything you do.

  • Carry out duties that may involve physical activity, with the right training and support.

  • Work flexibly, including occasional night shifts, to meet the needs of the network.

  • Safely operate small plant and equipment as part of your role.

 

Who we’re looking for

 SSSTS qualification.
 CSCS card holder.
 Experience in small works.
 Soft estates skills (e.g. strimming, hedge cutting).
 Working at height (MEWPs and gantry access ladders).
 Confined space certification.
 Full driving licence.
