Carers Week 2025
Connect Plus and CPS proudly support Carers Week; a time dedicated to recognising the selfless commitment of unpaid carers and offering them the support they so greatly deserve.
This year's theme is ‘caring about equality’ which highlights the inequalities and opportunities missed by carers just because of their caring role. It speaks directly to the reality of many: constant responsibility, little to no personal time and, often, the feeling of being alone.
Carers provide vital support to loved ones, often without recognition or rest. That’s why, through our ongoing initiatives and support groups, we’re working hard to ensure the carers amongst our teams feel valued, heard, and supported.
Throughout the week we will be launching our own wonderful carers support group, who provide an open, judgement-free space for carers within our teams. It allows carers to take a much-needed break, find genuine compassion and understanding, whilst offering mutual support and helping to shape future wellbeing initiatives.
Today the group held a carer’s event at our Dartford depot, aimed to celebrate and engage carers whilst providing a chance to connect, learn, and have fun. It was a wonderful success, with a great participation and involving inspiring discussions of support and experiences.
The group are scheduled to meet monthly, providing a continuous support network to carers in the business.
The week runs from 9-15th June 2025.
