Role Purpose:

As a Digital Business Change Manager you will play a key role in the delivery of items in the Digital Transformation of the M25 DBFO – being instrumental in the delivery of business change, communications, engagement, and training for a complex portfolio of digital changes.  Day to day leadership of key Project Managers, who are managing each of the individual initiatives – ensuring that they are delivering, and most importantly embedding, change projects.

In conjunction with the Head of Digital and Data and Digital Delivery Lead, you will feed into the development of a digital strategy, vision, and roadmap to build engagement and communicate delivery of the wider portfolio.

 

How you will do this:

Ensure development and adoption of a consistent structured methodology for business change on the M25, reporting progress, developing, and managing a business change cross-project plan and delivering key business change artefacts to support adoption and embedment.  Working with the Project Managers and business leads so that the portfolio of projects progress to plan and any concerns are escalated as required to the Digital Delivery Lead.

Work with wider team, sharing progress on business analysis, software development (for specific in-house managed software), project management, and testing.  In addition, build strong relationship with communications, HR, and Performance and Quality, AMO and Service Delivery and other PMO teams to enable delivery of Business Change components of the portfolio across the business.

Work with stakeholders across the M25 community to share lessons on project launch and embedding with the wider community and support business change efforts for community wider programmes.  Support the running of the change board, calling out people and business change impacts for the business.  Capture change impact for projects / programmes and set out clear plans to mitigate.

Develop the Business Benefits realisation plans to ensure that the Digital and Data Services are offering value for money and ROI savings from all projects.

Prepare and lead the business transformation of change, establishing and preparing the business functional areas under the “Change blueprint” model, driving these large business change programmes forward to a successful deployment completion.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of business change for Digital / Technology portfolio.
  • Development of a business change methodology, including development of key artefacts.
  • Capture business change impacts, providing measurement and identifying plans to mitigate these impacts.
  • Regular updates on progress made and status reporting to the Digital Delivery Lead, and Head of Digital and Data.
  • Supporting the capture, measurement and tracking of key portfolio benefits in conjunction with the Finance team and ensuring that these are driven through to realisation.
  • Supporting key governance forums, such as the CPS Change Board and providing regular contributions to the Digital Delivery meeting.
  • Supplying portfolio finances and benefits identification and delivery.
  • Identification, reporting and tracking of business change risks, issues, and dependencies; escalating as required.

Experience: 

  • Successfully managing large change projects.
  • Supporting delivery of project/programme benefits through to realisation.
  • Presenting updates at complex governance forums.
  • Engaging senior level stakeholders and obtaining buy-in.
  • Developing a business change methodology across the organisation and ensuring key documentation is in place.
  • Shaping of business change initiatives and activities.
  • Understanding of digital technology and its application.
  • Interdependency identification and tracking is highly desirable.
  • Technology strategy development and articulation.
  • Management of multiple stakeholder organisations is desirable, but not essential.

Location:

This is a hybrid role designed to fully maximize team collaboration on the project, we therefore expect a minimum of 60% of your time to be spent at a CPS offices.
