CPS Hosts Winter Stakeholder Event

CPS recently hosted its annual Winter Stakeholder Event, bringing together industry leaders, partners, and winter maintenance experts for a day of collaboration, strategic planning, and innovation ahead of the cold season. The event provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on past performance, share best practices, and explore emerging technologies that will shape winter service delivery across the network. 

Presentations throughout the day highlighted CPS’ commitment to data-driven decision-making and environmental resilience. Topics included intelligent drainage monitoring using internal sensors, climate modelling to inform long-term maintenance strategies, enhanced weather forecasting tools, and connected vehicle technology that enables real-time road condition assessment during adverse weather. 

Attendees also participated in scenario-based exercises simulating severe weather events, testing response strategies and recovery planning in real time. The event concluded with positive feedback and renewed energy, reinforcing CPS’ dedication to innovation, resilience, and partnership in the face of evolving climate challenges
