Collaborative Excellence Earns Double BCIA Shortlisting
Connect Plus and CPS have been shortlisted for two categories at the BCIA Awards, a great recognition of the impact and innovation our teams are delivering on the M25.
Connect Plus and CPS are finalists for the Sustainability & Environmental Impact Award for the M1 J6 Carbon Reduction Scheme, delivered with Octavius and National Highways. By applying PAS 2080 principles from the outset, the project team embedded lower‑carbon choices throughout the scheme - from Durakerb and recycled steel to warm‑mix asphalt and the Yunex Plus+ cabling system. Construction impacts were further reduced through Syntech biofuel, battery tower lights and hydrogen fuel cell lighting. The scheme was completed on time and on budget, achieving measurable carbon savings and providing a replicable model for future low‑carbon delivery.
We are also finalists for the Project Team Excellence Award for the M25 Pavement Transformation, delivered with Milestone, Tarmac and Techjoint. Working as a single One Community, the team moved from condition‑led planning to a preservation‑first, value‑optimised approach. Through digital innovation and improved data standards, the programme delivered major efficiency gains and a tenfold increase in pavement preservation activity, while improving safety, reducing disruption and strengthening governance.
Recognition in two national award categories highlights the strength of our collaborative approach and the value it brings to the wider sector. It reflects the hard work, innovation, expertise and commitment shown across all teams involved.
Congratulations to everyone involved.
