Fixed Term Contract – 12 months Maternity Cover

Working with the Street Lighting supervisor to secure the requisite Roadspace and Resources.
Maintenance of the associated data in Agile Assets. Provide scheduling assistance to the Tunnels Team. To assist in the safe and efficient programming of all 7 and 14 day repairs identified on the network.

Working in 2 sites: South Mimms and Blunts Farm Depot, Epping

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the planning and programming of all agile defect lighting works.
  • Working with the Street lighting team (Streetlighting Manager, Supervisor and Data Coordinator to continually adjust and refine short-term programme to ensure all KPIs (Cat1, Cat 2, Cat 3 defects, and compliance with Environmental Protection Act) and planned preventative maintenance for Street Lighting are met.
  • Ensure all road space is booked and used efficiently through co-ordination with other internal and external works.
  • Assist Street Lighting team with detailed resource planning, including people, plant and materials.
  • Liaise with other quadrant teams to improve utilisation of resources across the network and share innovative ideas to improve Service Delivery.
  • Collate and maintain records relating to defects and repairs for Lighting across network.
  • To provide general administrative support within a working depot environment

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in highway maintenance or regulated sectors (eg rail/utilities)
  • Knowledge and experience of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality standards within a highways context
  • Current UK driving licence.
  • Competent in the use of MS Office applications MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project (or similar).
